Marketers’ Secret Language: 5 AI Prompts That Save You Hours of Work

Why does AI write boring copy? Because you give it boring instructions.

“Write me a Facebook post about our new shoes.”

Give an AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) a prompt like that, and you’ll get text full of clichés, rocket emojis 🚀 and phrases like “unlock your potential” or “step into comfort.” The result? Your customer scrolls right past it, because it smells like an ad from a mile away.

Today, we’re sharing our “kitchen secret” with you. Here are 5 advanced prompts (instructions) you can use in your business right away to sound professional, human and persuasive.

The Golden Rule of Prompting: Role + Context + Task + Constraint

Before we get to the examples, remember this formula. The AI needs to know who it’s supposed to be.

  • Bad: Write an email.
  • Good: Act as a senior salesperson (Role) writing to the director of a construction company (Context). Write a short email with an offer (Task), don’t use marketing jargon and keep it under 100 words (Constraint).

Now let’s get to the actual prompts.

1. A Prompt for Sales Copy (That Doesn’t Feel Pushy)

We use this prompt when we want to talk about benefits, not technical specs.

Prompt for the AI (copy it):

“Act as an expert in sales psychology. I have a product: [ADD YOUR PRODUCT, e.g. an ergonomic office chair].

Your task is to write 3 different openings (hooks) for a social media post.

  1. The first focuses on the customer’s fear/pain (e.g. back pain).
  2. The second focuses on the desire for status/success.
  3. The third is based on a surprising fact or statistic.

Tone: Friendly, empathetic, but expert. Don’t use words like ‘revolutionary’ or ‘the best.’ Write the way you’d say it to a friend over coffee.”

2. A Prompt That Turns a Boring Article into Viral Content

Do you have a blog on your website that nobody reads? This prompt “slices” it into pieces for social media.

Prompt for the AI:

“Here is the text of my blog post: [PASTE THE ARTICLE TEXT].

I want you to turn this text into a content plan for a whole week on LinkedIn and Instagram:

  1. Create a script for a 60-second Reels video (spoken word) that sums up the main idea.
  2. Write copy for a 5-slide carousel post, with one key tip on each slide.
  3. Write one controversial status update that sparks discussion in the comments.”

3. The “Devil’s Advocate” Prompt (Find Out Why People Don’t Buy from You)

This is one of the most useful prompts for business strategy. Let the AI be your most critical customer.

Prompt for the AI:

“Play the role of a skeptical customer who is considering buying my service [ADD YOUR SERVICE]. This is the offer on my website: [PASTE THE OFFER TEXT OR LINK].

List 5 reasons why you would NOT buy this service. Be brutally honest. Look for holes in my arguments, unclear pricing or missing guarantees. Then, for each objection, tell me how I could counter it on my website.”

4. A Prompt for Replying to a Negative Review

Got a 1-star review on Google? Put your emotions aside. Let the AI write a diplomatic reply that makes you look like a pro.

Prompt for the AI:

“I’m the owner of [COMPANY NAME]. We received this negative review: ‘[PASTE THE REVIEW]’.

Write a reply that meets these criteria:

  1. It thanks the reviewer for the feedback (without sarcasm).
  2. It acknowledges the problem but gently explains our side (don’t over-apologize if it isn’t our fault).
  3. It suggests a solution or a contact for support.
  4. It comes across so professionally that other readers will also think we’re a fair company. The reply must be short.”

5. A Prompt for Creating a Customer “Avatar” (Understanding Your Customer)

Don’t know what keeps your clients up at night? Ask the AI.

Prompt for the AI:

“Create a detailed profile of my ideal customer for the product [ADD YOUR PRODUCT]. Give them a name, an age and a job. Then write their ‘Diary.’ Write a short entry from their day describing the moments when they feel the problem my product solves. I want to understand their emotions, their frustrations and what keeps them up at night. Don’t write about my product; write about their problems.”

A tool is only as good as the person using it

These prompts are just the tip of the iceberg. In 2026 (and beyond), the winner won’t be whoever has access to AI; everyone has that today. The winner will be whoever knows how to ask the right questions.
